I think Puck has so much that he wanted in terms of a fulfilling job and a great place to live and even a beautiful girlfriend that he never would have called himself unhappy, or really even realized that he was. But he gets there by closing a whole part of himself off, the part that Beth and Rachel are in and even some unresolved stuff about Lima. So when Rachel reappears, he finally figures out what he's been missing and that no, he's not happy with the status quo.
Heh. Jen. Can she be both a total bitch and ALSO right? I think she treated Puck fairly well because he's the rising hot young producer, he's the golden boy. But she's obviously going to be a raging bitch to Rachel. Thing is, she's spot on with the fact that Rachel's a threat. Puck doesn't look at Rachel or act with Rachel the way you look at someone you haven't talked to in years. They've been going out for more than a year and a half and now Puck's going to dump her on her ass because this figure from his past (who broke up with him!) shows up out of the blue. Totally unfair and messy and just the way things work sometimes.
Anyway, I should go proof and post the next chapter. Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback. :)
