help I'm alive, my heart keeps beating like a hammer

What's up, internet? I continue to be behind on everything. I promise I'm working on it.

Remember the guy I talked about roughly a week ago? Yeah, we're going to see Inception on Sunday, probably (which will be the third time for both of us). The fact that I'm still calling this a not-date doesn't change the fact that I'm worrying about what to wear. I am such a teenage girl cliche sometimes, it's alarming.

There's a store in Canada called Bluenotes (at least, I assume it's only in Canada?), which is a clothing store primarily focused on jeans and type t-shirts that I used to think were awesome and now mostly find obnoxious. (Why is it so fucking difficult to find superhero t-shirts for girls that don't say stupid shit about "being my hero" and the like on them? Clearly this is a rant for a different time.) They have a new advertising campaign that's about stories and how every pair of jeans has one - or something like that, I don't know. THE POINT IS that they have two separate ads up in the window. One has a girl looking all adorable and flirtatious, and it says, "He walked me to my door and kissed me in these jeans." Which is fine, I guess. It plays off female stereotypes in a big way, but that's marketing. The guy's one says, "The hottest girl said yes in these jeans."

When I first saw the ad, I actually assumed that it meant she - that is, "the hottest girl" - said yes to a date. I'm very naive and innocent, aren't I? I don't know why I'm so bothered by the ads, to be honest. I guess anything I have to look at too many times a day will eventually become annoying.

And a meme, stolen from extemporally: Ask me my Top Five Whatevers. Fannish or literary or otherwise. Any top fives. Doesn't matter what, really! And I will answer them all in a new post (or in comments). Possibly with pictures.

Hope everyone is having an excellent week!
