No, seriously. This is just cruel. I am at such a loss here.I stayed up really late last night trying to get started on the epic fic I am now helping to beta since Sam has gone on her hiatus, and I got 50 pages in, and now I cannot find the damn thing. I tried, yes. I tried searching for words in the file too, and I came up with other fics I didn't even know I had, but nope. It just appears to have disappeared.

Have you tried looking for back-ups (my Word at home backs up automatically every like, 10 minutes)? Or searching your comp for files that you've worked on in the past few days?

Both. Both a zillion time each, but no. EPIC FAIL.

Also, I'll just say that, 50 pages in, and I'm a fan of your fic. Despite the fact that I didn't think I was going to be, in all honesty. (Serial killer AUs tend to be fairly dark, right, but I love the setup in yours.)
