We've found a new place to eat here in town called BroJoe's.

Places to eat in Bristow out of anything other then desperation are few and far between. The one's that seem to be worth a damn either don't make it and move to another, larger town or just become so crappy eventually they shut down.

BroJoe's is up by the lake, tucked right beside a golf course. It has been here since last year, but we only just now heard of it...I've been walking past it a few times a month and never even saw it!

It's a beautiful building with huge windows so you can see the lake and golf course and all the tree's, and at the right time, watch the sun go down.

The waitress is nice, attentive, if a little bit...not all with it. I suspect I know what salad dressing's they have after eating their twice better then she does. But it's not an additude of not caring...she's just...well...typical bristow-ian.

The owner's wife (I suspect?) is very very nice. The first time we went, the NY strip was frozen, so she got us all free dessert. The second time, the hotwings were frozen, so she got us a free app.

Obviously, they need a new fridge- but I can respect the kind of place that says once meat is frozen, it's not as good, so we're not going to serve food thats not up to our standard.

They cut all of their beef by hand, and even their "smothered steak", some kind of sirlon (forgive me, I'm not a big meat eater) is something they cut and then grind by hand, instead of just being a hamburger patty like most places serve.

*Nothing* is ordered frozen and cooked from a bag. Even the onion rings are hand cut, breaded and fried.

And the prices are crazy cheap. On one hand, some of the stuff is yes, things that most people can manage to cook at home. Well, I'll say most grandmothers, I don't know many 20 / 30 / 40 somethings that actually cook much. But, for what you pay, and what you get, it's fantastic.

Not to mention, great unsweetened tea, and they have splenda on hand.

Not that any of you are going to wind up in Bristow, Oklahoma, any time soon, but I just felt like writing for a bit.

Paul and Denine are fast asleep, I am not. It's super early for us, but it's been a crazy past few days.

Yesterday we went into town for all of Paul's pre-surgery work up. We left around 7:30 a.m. and got there around 8:15.

It took several hours, I barely was able to eat before my cut off time to have my teeth pulled. One wisdom, two back molars. Bleh.

Had some good soup at Jason's Deli though, which btw, has become one of my fav places *ever* to eat salad at. Went back to the hospital to have a coroided sp? artery doppler thing done, and then went to have my teeth pulled. Just a very long, drawn out day.

Dr. Janitz was very very good though. Just a nice, down to earth guy. I asked for his professional opionion on this third tooth they were saying I'de need a root canal on, which he thought was funny- someone actually asking for his advice. Decieded it needed to come out.

Gave me some laughing gas, which, I mean, I didnt really feel it. All I know is he put in my IV and I found myself saying he had the hands of an angel. Yeah, I said that. Outloud. If I had been able too, I would had fallen out of my chair laughing at myself. I barely felt the needle go in.

Then someone was waking me, and half my face was numb and stayed that way until I got home. Thats an almost hour drive, a stop at Wal-Mart, pick up perscriptions, go shopping for speakers for my new tv, get all the way home before I start getting in any pain.

Then of course...I started feeling pain, took the oxy he perscribed, and hours later started getting sick to my stomach, and stayed the way all night. Puke, pass out, puke, pass out. Joy.

I slept pretty much all day and all through the night other then waking to be sick.

Have only had to take two hydroco. that I got from Paul.

Paul's surgery has been pushed back a week due to some emergency with his doctor.

I'm so worried about him. He's been having to take his nitro tabs twice a day or so.

Honestly, I love him so much, I can't bear the thought of anything happening to him. So I just push the thoughts away.

Any ways, thats about all I've got for now. Hopefully my little fever has gone down a bit and maybe I can get some more sleep.
