last night we were talking about jobs that require interaction with people and i started thinking about when i worked at babbage's. i was reminded of the deaf/mute boy who used to come in and write me notes asking about games. if i had time i would always write back to him and try and help him out. it made me pretty sappy and it actually made me want to get a part-time clerk job or something. i kind of miss being able to interact with so many random people. even though it pissed me off a lot and i took a lot of shit it was a humbling experience. and the thought that my actions could affect that person's day was a powerful idea.
