There's a Jinx at a cafe! Well, she needs to get out of that hideout every now and then. A few heads turn at the pink-haired girl nodding her head to some headphones, a smile on her face before she takes a sip of whatever coffee drink she has.

((I don't use Jinx enough. Basically an open post for your pups to talk to her; or give her a hard time, ( Read more... )

Terra is a fan of coffee and coffee-related drinks as well, and so it's probably not unsurprising that she should at least show up to a cafe once in a while. You can't download hot coffee, after all. Well, not the beverage.

When she gets out of the counter area, she's holding a drink in a large transparent cup that looks like it could hold about 20 ounces. And it's then she spots the pink hair. Oh, well, this could be fun! She walks over and waves a little as she approaches.

She blinks at Terra, and smiles some. Well this was unexpected. She takes off one of the headphones, and waves back. "Hey. Need some caffiene?" Jinx asks, gesturing at the large cup with a laugh.

Terra giggles a little. "You know it. Got a movie marathon tonight and I need to prep for it. But I've still got some time before BB wonders what happened to me and goes on a frantic search of the city. Mind if I join you?"

Good thing See-more isn't here, she thought when Terra said that. "Sure, help yourself," Jinx says, and pushes out one of the seats for her. "So what kind of movies we talking here? Romance, comedy, horror?"

"Thanks." Terra sits down and smiles. "BB thought I didn't know enough of the 'best movies ever', so we're watching stuff like Holy Grail and Night of the Living Dead and... I don't know, some weird movie called, like, Manos: The Hands of Fate or something. It's a real grab bag."

"I've seen some Monty Python movies. Never really got into zombie flicks that much though. And I have no idea what that last one is," she admitted. "Nonetheless, I seriously doubt those are the best movies ever."

She takes a sip of her drink, and says, "If the movies are bad, you should force him to watch something you like that he doesn't," Jinx grinned.

"I've seen Holy Grail, too! I mean, hell, I got thrown off the Bridge of Death by the Old Man from Scene 24. I don't know why he's trying to get me to watch that one." She shook her head. "Zombie movies aren't really my thing, but I guess he just wants a reason to scare me so he can be the big strong man and protect me. I'd never even heard of the third one before now, though."

"Problem is, the stuff I like is pretty much the same stuff he likes. I mean, there's always David Bowie strutting around in tight pants, but I don't know if he'd appreciate that one," she admitted with a sip of her own.

"I'm guessing that was a Nexus thing?" Jinx asks, obviously about the whole Bridge of Death thing. "And there's totally scarier things than zombies."

David Bowie, what. "Oh God, Labryinth," she laughed, giving Terra a playful shove, "I LOVE that movie!"

"Was it ever. God. I thought I'd never stop falling." She laughed a little at the memory, though. "Was a pretty big rush, I guess. Yeah, there totally are! And, c'mon, it's a zombie movie from the '50s or whatever. How scary can it really be?"

Terra laughed happily and shoved back with cold hands. Hey, she didn't wear her gloves everywhere. "You're my kind of girl, Jinx. Nothing like tight leather and really cheesy music to brighten up my day."

"Yeah really. It'll probably just look like a bunch of guys in bad makeup. Old movies really aren't scary at all," she said.

"Oh yeah, There's a small handful of cheesy movies I still have a soft spot for. Of course if I told you more of them, I'd have to kill you," she joked, grinning.

"I guess they were scary when they were popular," she said, breaking to take a drink. "I mean, we've got all these special effects now and we can make things actually look real. We're kinda jaded."

She leered at Jinx. "I'd die happy. Spill, girl."

"I was thinking more like we're desensitized, but jaded works, I suppose. But yeah, you have a point. Look at how scary Jaws was suppose to be. Just the first one though," she said quickly, "the others kind of sucked."

Siiiigh. "Okay. But you can't tell anyone." She bites her lip, and looks around, as if expecting someone like Gizmo or Mammoth to pop up randomly, before leaning in a bit to tell Terra. "....The Last Unicorn. Everyone knows I like the animals, but uh.... not the kiddy movie." Her face is about as pink as her hair now.

"Jaws? What, the one about the shark? Pssh. That didn't scare me much. I saw it and I went swimming immediately after!" She was lying, of course -- she'd never seen it, but damn, was her ego coming out. "Yeah, sequels are never as good."

Terra stifled a giggle at Jinx's expense. "I didn't even know you liked unicorns at all. But don't worry, I won't tell anyone." A paused, then a baffled look. "I'm still trying to work out how you and unicorns go together at all."

"Well I meant it was scary at the time it was made; like you said about the zombie movie," she explained.

Jinx couldn't help but laugh at that, "Well, I may be a tough, hardcore criminal," she says with a grin, hoping to get the point across that she's kidding, "but I'm still a girl at heart. Besides, when you're born with pink hair, you sort of develop and attachment to girly things," she laughs; or at least that's how it worked for her.

"Oh. Yeah. Well, that, too." Way to remember your own points, girl. \m/

She can't stop herself from laughing. "So what, does that mean you have a secret collection of Barbies and fifty million different pairs of shoes in a hiding place back at your home?" Terra means it as a joke, but would be completely unsurprised if Jinx did.

"I didn't really like barbies much to be honest," she says, and hesitates on the next part; she normally didn't talk about her personal life and her tastes with anyone outside of the HIVE five. But Jinx had considered Terra a friend for awhile now. She was someone she could trust, at least with little things like this. "I did used to have a lot of stuffed animals and collectible dolls when I was younger, though. But you're right on the money about shoes," she grins.
