Title: A Whiter Shade of Pale
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Angst
Pair: YunJae, JaeChun
Length: One-shot
Summary: Though bound by the sacrament of marriage, when Yoochun’s bestfriend lost home and turned to him, he found his husband drifting away.

Disclaimer: I wish I own them so I could have a daily supply of porno, but I don’t. The story is based on a video-I think it was a Mandarin music video-that I saw spreading on Facebook but isn’t exactly the same.

I think I will dedicate this to asdfghjklhynne because I was talking to her when the plot came up though it's not awesomely written. Enjoy your time reading! :D

It was just a normal day-it was supposed to be just a normal day with normal routine and normal play of emotions but today isn’t a normal day. It isn’t just. When Yoochun’s best friend appeared in front of his door, looking devastated and losing his self on the edge, he knew and felt that today and the following days wouldn’t be a normal day.

Yunho, Jung Yunho- he has lost his job, his money and his everything upon admitting to his family his sexual preference. He was once one of the closet homosexuals who decided to be open and gets thrown out of their life. He is not much of a friendly person thus having no other friends aside from Yoochun and some others who chose to live in the other countries, spreading around the globe. And Park Yoochun, his bestfriend and the only friend he knows living in the same country, is also the only one he knew that could help him. He decided to go to his house and ask for help: shelter and food, just for a while until he could find a decent work and pay him back.

Yoochun refused Yunho’s offer, saying he’s a friend and that he’s very much welcome in the house without anything to pay him back. Yunho was grateful for having such a friend but when he saw his bestfriend’s husband, he knew there might be a bigger problem.

“Who is he, Chun?” Yoochun’s husband of five years, Jaejoong, appeared in his back and peeped at the visitor. As he laid his eyes on the visitor, he felt his heart thump. It was like the thump he felt when he first heard Yoochun’s pick-up line-the thump he hasn’t felt again after their first years together.

“Yunho… he is my bestfriend. Yunho, this is Jaejoong, my husband. I think I’ve introduced you two before?” Yoochun glanced at his husband and when he saw him staring intensely at his bestfriend, he put a protective arm around his shoulder. “Let’s go to the living room.”

“Sure, I’ll prepare some food.” Jaejoong smiled and left the scene but not before winking at Yunho when he saw Yoochun not paying attention.

Jaejoong winked, that is all Yunho’s mind could register at the moment and if not by Yoochun’s punch and mocking laugh, he wouldn’t have gone back to reality. Jaejoong winked, and Yunho knew there will indeed be a problem.

---

Three days had passed and they’re acting pretty normal. Well, normal when Yoochun isn’t around. Though Yunho tries to ignore Jaejoong’s suggestive looks, he admitted, he isn’t trying hard enough. Whenever Jaejoong bites his lower lip, either out of hobbit or intentional, Yunho’s blood rushes to his groin, and whenever Jaejoong touches him, scenes of pinning him down the bed flashes on his mind. Not good things at all.

On a rainy day of August, Jaejoong decided not to attend work, saying he’s not feeling well and all other alibis just to convince Yoochun he’ll be fine at home. The air conditioner broke, leaving the house cold due to the wind blowing whilst raining.

Yunho went home for lunch, having successfully found a decent job with reasonable salary. He found Jaejoong at the living room, smiling at him with nothing but boxers and a lose shirt on.

“Coffee for a cold weather?” Jaejoong offered which Yunho could not refuse. The weather was extremely cold and noticing that the air conditioner was broke, a hot coffee would really be appreciated.

He sat a little awkwardly at the couch. When he noticed that Jaejoong is taking too long, he got up on his heels and went to the kitchen. Who knows the man has fainted or something? He was about to enter the rectangular door frame to the kitchen, when he bumped on Jaejoong, spilling the not-so-hot coffee in his new polo shirt. He told himself, he should get angry because he’s lacking of decent dress at the moment, but he has lost himself on the hand that is gently wiping the coffee off his chest. He noted that Jaejoong has beautiful hands and his touches were delicate. He assumed that Jaejoong is busy wiping his chest and that looking at him would be safe but he was wrong. As he looked up, Jaejoong was looking back at him with the beautiful eyes that seemed like a beautiful ocean if you stare at them… with the nose that is cute and pointy, and the cherry chopsticks that was his lips, red and full and inviting-so inviting that Yunho felt himself leaning closer.

Their lips met halfway, nibbling and biting lips alternatively, both sucking air from each other. They both just stopped when they felt the need of air.

Yunho’s mind screamed bloody murder and that it was wrong: what they are doing is wrong and Yoochun would definitely kill him once he knew he kissed his husband. And to hell it was not just a kiss, they made out for seconds and minutes. He stopped kissing him back but when he looked at the eyes that are staring so hungrily at him, he couldn’t do anything else but put his lips back to Jaejoong’s and move his feet to the couch, moving Jaejoong’s body and the train of sins coming along.

“This is… wrong.” Yunho breathed out between kisses.

“What is so wrong from having to feel so much for you than my own husband?” Jaejoong asked. Whatever Yunho was about to say was cut off by another kiss, not passionate but aggressive and somewhat angry. He could feel guilt flooding throughout his body but emotions and pleasure are overpowering his senses.

And since that day, everything became a sin-nothing was right anymore.

---

Two weeks and they’re still doing the same thing: making out while Yoochun wasn’t around or touching intimately when he’s not looking.

Yoochun was called to the urgency of work on a Sunday morning. He told Jaejoong he was sorry for ruining their supposed to be happy day. Jaejoong just waved his hands off and told him it’s alright-that everything’s alright. When Yoochun’s car has faded through the long streets, he ran inside in search of Yunho. He found him just after he got out of the dining area and he jumped on him.

“I missed you…” Jaejoong breathed while sucking on Yunho’s neck like a vampire hungry for blood.

“Yooch-”

“Out. Work.” Yunho couldn’t resist more as he kissed Jaejoong back, tongue rolling around the sides of his lips. Articles of clothing were thrown one by one as they make their way to Yunho’s room and there, for the first time, they made love.

Minutes later, Yoochun came, deeming he forgot something in their room. But as he stepped his foot inside their home, he could feel something was wrong. And when he saw thrown clothes on the way to Yunho’s room, his stomach churned and he realized… he couldn’t call the house his home anymore.

“Betraying bastards…” Yoochun hissed but he couldn’t bring himself to run to them and beat both of them into pulp. He has already felt their relationship has been drifting apart. He knew one way or another Jaejoong would betray… but he didn't thought it would be with his best friend. He imagine night outs on clubs, one night stand but not this. Half of the years they were living together weren’t spent in anything really intimate, and if ever they’re going to be intimate it would only be Yoochun. It always seems like Jaejoong is physically near but emotionally away. And every time they make love, he realizes that their pale relationship is getting even paler.

Yoochun couldn’t lie to himself anymore. He couldn’t lie to himself that he didn’t notice how Jaejoong became more cheerful when Yunho came. He couldn’t lie to himself that Jaejoong seemed more excited whenever he’s leaving instead of when he’s staying. He couldn’t lie anymore to himself that their relationship is just fine and will still be working in the future.

Though it had hurt him so much, he chose to stay back and just cry it with himself. He needed a confirmation before he makes a move because if he did not, maybe he was wrong and everything could just go worse that it already is. Yes, maybe it was all wrong assumptions.

And so he left the house he used to call home quietly and heart-broken.

---

Yoochun was coming home more cheerfully and early much to Jaejoong’s dissatisfaction. He would be having a little less time with Yunho if Yoochun keeps on going home early. However he thought that he needed to be a husband for a little while to avoid any suspicion.

“Chunnie, need help?” Jaejoong asked when he saw Yoochun fixing the light in the main bathroom.

“No, Joongie, I’m fine. Just go rest.” Yoochun smiled, it was the smile that Jaejoong fell in love with but it doesn’t have the same effect anymore.

“Sure, call me if you need anything, baby.” Jaejoong smiled the smiled that captured Yoochun’s heart. And much to Yoochun’s unfortune, it still has the same effect on him.

At night, Yoochun left his study open while watching something from his laptop. Jaejoong came in, acting sweet and caring that is so unusual. Yunho came after him, all smiles like he hasn’t done anything.

“What’s that, Chunnie?” Jaejoong stood beside his husband, placing his hands on his shoulder. Yunho did the same, thinking that it was just normal because they’re best friends after all-best friends whom the one is betraying the other.

“Some sorts of angst video that’ll make me want to rip things apart.” Yoochun emphasized 'things' and the way he said it made Yunho and Jaejoong cringe. They glanced at each other knowingly and went back to the screen.

Jaejoong was first to react when he saw the video playing. He had his mouth agape and eyes widened. Same went with Yunho whose hands came trembling. Yoochun had installed CCTV cameras around the house and that explains why he’s been going home early.

On the scene were the two of them: Jaejoong was pinned on the wall while Yunho is kissing him. Clothes are one by one being removed and the next things were blur to them since tears welled up in their eyes.

Yoochun shoved the hands in his shoulder and glared at them.

“All this time…” He glared at Yunho. “I thought you are my best friend. Now, you were my best friend.” Then he turned to Jaejoong. “I’ll file our divorce as soon as possible. Both of you leave my house before I do anything else.”

Without second thought, Jaejoong has run off to his room, followed by a hesitant and all-guilt Yunho.

Yoochun broke down, crying his eyes out to his heart’s content. He felt lost, like he was dumped in the middle of a forest, in the middle of a desert, in the middle of nowhere. He felt much more than betrayal. He felt his heart leave him the instant Jaejoong chose to run away instead of beg to accept him back. He felt his soul shatter upon realizing that their marriage has broke and Jaejoong refused to fix it. He felt his life being pointless as soon as he realized the love of his life, the only person he has ever loved, will be gone for good in the next few minutes.

Taking his time, Yoochun fixed himself and stopped his tears from flowing further. He inhaled sharply and washed his face. He walked to the living room and sat on one of the couches. He could feel his heart slowing when he saw Yunho and his Jaejoong walking down the stairs with their suitcases on.

Yoochun ignored them. He even ignored Jaejoong’s cries which break his heart in normal days. He ignored Yunho’s devastated look that breaks his heart in normal days. He ignored the colors around him fading and turning into a whiter shade of pale. He ignored everything and just focused on the magazine he’s fake-reading.

“Yoochun…” Jaejoong spoke through his sobs. “I’m truly sorry. I couldn’t stop myself. I’m sorry if I lost my feelings after a couple of years. I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to live up to our marriage vows. I’m sorry if I messed up our relationship and I’m sorry for feeling so much for Yunho when I clearly know I shouldn’t.”

Yoochun still ignored him and it was Yunho’s turn to speak.

“Yoochun, I know you know that there’s no one else I know. You’ve been nothing but a great friend to me, accepting me wholeheartedly and not taking anything to pay back. But I destroyed your trust. I know you wouldn’t be able to forgive me but I am thankful to have had you as my best friend. I’m sorry, Yoochun.” And Yunho was crying too. Yoochun’s face was emotionless but he couldn’t stop the tears that rolled off his eyes.

“Take care and lock the door.” That was the only words Yoochun said before he stood up and walked to his room, slamming the door.

Jaejoong looked at Yunho and hugged him.

“It’ll be better soon. I promise.” Yunho promised.

“I love you.”

“I love you too, Jaejoong.” And both of them left the house Jaejoong once called home. He left his own copy of keys on the door mat with his memories of their marriage together.

‘It’ll all be worth it.’ Jaejoong thought.
