The countdown is on: two days and five weeks from now -- that's 37 days -- I (and Al too, for that matter) will have my first year of college behind me. How...bizarre?
Tony noms announced tomorrow!!!! I so want Sutton to win again this year, but everyone seems to LOVE Victoria Clark, so I don't know (I, unfortunately, have not seen Light in the Piazza, so I cannot judge). Sutton deserves to win, and that's not me being biased....I swear...no, really....but I think Victoria Clark is probably some major competition.
If Sutton doesn't win, then Christian HAS to for Spamalot!!!! One member of that couple needs to go home with a Tony.
Oh, PS: I am listening to the Little Women CD, and Maureen McGovern (don't get me wrong, I think her voice is good) kind of sounds like she has peanut butter stuck on the roof of her mouth.
I love being a theater person :-D
I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend...I was so happy that I was able to spend the day with my mom yesterday. I am really so lucky to have such a closeness to her...
Mother's Day dinner:
She's the BEST.
I sang "In My Own Little Corner" today in musical theater and had a LOT of fun with it. I think my confidence is going up a little...I've never been a huge fan of myself. I'm STILL not. But you have to start somewhere, right?
I'll find my way; I'll find it far away
I'll find it in the unexpected and unknown
I'll find my life in my own way today
Here I go,and there's no turning back
My great adventure has begun
I may be small but I've got giant plans
To shine as brightly as the sun
I will blaze until I find my time and place
I will be fearless, surrendering modesty and grace
I will not disappear without a trace
I'll shout and start a riot
Be anything but quiet
Christopher Columbus,
I'll be astonishing...Astonishing...Astonishing at last!
