Interesting question, particularly for someone like me who never had the possibility of blood relations since I have no blood…not in the traditional sense ( Read more... )

She laughed out right. If the version of her in his universe was anything like she was, then those kids must have had stubborn streaks to end all stubborn streaks. "What else. What did she do?"

"Neutronics specialist." That required a little explanation. "The science of the mechanics required to support artificial intelligence." He eyed her slightly. "I think she would have liked to meet you."

"There's a whole field of science dedicated to the support of artificial intelligence?" she asked, not so much suprised that it would happen, but surprised at how different the place he came from was.

She glanced at him and smiled. "I would have liked to meet her too."
