For the most part, you could mistake Amanda as cheerful and decidedly so. She has hopes and dreams like any young woman in her mid 20s might have. She hopes for the best, prepares for the worst, and tries to skip in between. Perfectly normal, perfectly sweet.
But it's not entirely like that. Amanda has deep rooted resentment towards her father she never met And there's a fear that she doesn't know what she is. While she is aware she's a half fae, she's terrified of what this could mean. She doesn't want to lose her humanity, she doesn't want to lose the people she's come to love and care for.
Despite her fears and anger, Amanda's sweetness isn't sugary. There's a sharpness and a tartness to her that doesn't allow to be walked on. It's a healthy determination, knowing when to run and hod back when she's dealing with something or someone too powerful to handle, Amanda might even be abrasive with her desire to know the truth. But she can't help it so much. No one tells her much of anything and everything she's learned about herself has been by chance.
And she's tired of chance.
