Today Anya had seen a couple of things that were supposed to be there, but then they...weren't? Which wasn't really the oddest thing she had seen in the island, but still, the fact it seemed to be happening apparently at random was a bit creepy. But just a bit.
Then again, she would take whatever excuse to call her father. She didn't talk to him enough anymore. He wasn't answering though, which was a bit frustrating; Gil Corazón was most likely in the middle of some serious investigation, completely unplugged from the world. It was that or he was asleep after spending one too many allnighters.
It seemed like she would need to settle for a text message, and Anya was halfway through it when she felt something. It was a noise, a very faint one that became gradually stronger. She didn't know what it was for a moment, and then she realized what she was listening; footsteps. Someone was coming into the room. "Hey there, gimme a minute," she said as she finished the text and sent it, then turned around to find...well, nobody. Turning around, Anya looked at her cellphone, checking the text had been properly sent...and she heard the footsteps again, this time going out of the room.
Anya held her breath for five seconds and then exhaled, sharply turning around. Nothing, she was all alone in her room.
"Too creepy," she muttered as she stood up and walked to her door, opening and looking outside. "Way too creepy."
