[ anakin hadn't anticipated an answer (of any kind) in response to his self-babble, but his answers to the how of the why are given once he spots the journal lying open not a few feet away from him. he pulls it to him with the force, sighing in obvious irritation with the object he considers to be more of a burden than a helpful tool in this place. ]

[ is his immediate response, but he soon realizes he's snapping at someone who isn't deserving of his temper, as padmé would say. padmé. force, he missed her. more so than he did when he was off in the outer rim fighting. at least there, he had contact with her. ]

I might be? I'm not sure. None of the worlds I've heard of here exist in my galaxy. Like this Earth everyone keeps talking about. Never heard of it until now.

You're from another galaxy? Oh wow. What's your planet like? What's the food like?

I probably am. [ he answers honestly, though he can't really say for sure. ] My homeworld is a desert planet called Tattooine, but I haven't lived there since I was a kid. And the food was awful, for the most part.

A whole planet that's a desert? I wonder how that works. And you've been to other worlds? How many? What are they like? I hope their food is better than on Tattooine. [Here, Anakin, have a kind of mangled pronunciation. Alien languages lol. /shot]

Yes. More than I can count. Interstellar travel is common where I'm from. People travel between planets as casually as you walk from one building to the next. I spend most of my time on ships lately. Or did, before this place.

Do you ever look up and be like 'Oh, I've been to that planet; their food is terrible' or ''I've been there; it's too cold for my tastes but the food makes it worth going back?' It must be so cool, to be able to do that. And if you spend a lot of time on ships, can you fly them, then?

Sometimes. Depends on where it is. If it's an Outer Rim world, I'd rather not step foot on that soil. But, you can usually find the foods of all the worlds of the Republic in some corner or another on Coruscant. And yes, I fly. I just happen to be one the best pilots ever born.

Coruscant is a planet. The core world of my galaxy, the capital of the Republic. It's a city-planet, the whole planet is one giant city. I don't think big is an appropriate enough word for that.

Like you wouldn't believe. [ just like that story he'd told buffy that was actually reality-- not that he'd ever admit to that. even here, he kept his wife secret. ]
