[Coraline could be very brave when she needed to be, but...she did not like that masked thing in the forest, and...if being safe meant tagging along with a boring grownup until it went away, she'd gladly be safe and bored.]

[Burt's papa instincts are usually reserved for his own child, and Finn to some degree, but there's kids here and it's dangerous and that makes him want to take care of them. He'd have wanted someone to take care of Kurt, if he ever couldn't.]
