L played golf today. he played 8 holes. and somehow managed to hurt himself (and he calls me a klutz?). he apparently was bending down to pick up tees & hurt himself somehow. and then he came home & tried to lay on the couch but said yelled a bunch of dirty, dirty words. i wanted to choke him - i mean, i went through unmedicated labor & i'm supposed to be the weaker sex. and when he wasn't screaming, he was googling & finding all these horrible things that might be wrong with him that would probably necessitate a 4 weeks hospital stay or something (can you say bye, bye plane tickets?). anyhow, i finally convinced him that going to the er was more acceptable than standing in the living room alienating...well, alienating someone on account of our neighbors moved out. probably alienating the neighborhood since the windows are open.
so our friends came & got us (the "american services" department of the hospital closes at 3 & he decided to go at 2:45) & off we went with 4 adults & 6 kids. they took him back, poked him a little & asked him some questions, pulled down his drawers & gave him a shot in the butt & that was that! apparently it's some kind of muscle strain & the shot was pain reliever. he also got some muscle relaxers & more pain reliever in pill form to take tonight & tomorrow (which will probably make him drowsy...yay...). how long did it take? 30 minutes! they validated our parking & the grand total-meds included? 60000 won...about $60. he seems to be feeling a little better now but moving kind of slowly.
and i ran a red light on the way to the hospital b/c i was talking & not paying attention but it wasn't camera-ed so no biggy. and then i almost caused a wreck by stopping in the middle of the road b/c i was confused. but a u-turn saved me. and THEN i missed the exit on the way home. it was quite interesting. and probably a good thing that L wasn't riding with me as all the quick stops & starts probably would have aggravated his back more. i'm off to finish dinner so i can take care of my FOUR kids tonight. and T wants someone to stay over. i think i may take some of that medicine!
L just tried to give the dog treat to ntm3! he stuck it right in her mouth! great...this is going to be a long night.
