Room 422, Saturday Morning

There was something niggling at the edge's of Bruce's mind this morning. Something very wrong with where he was. There wasn't the honking of car horns or noise of people selling various food and clothing. Or even the noisy kids playing in the alley.

...and there was something touching him.

Calm. Calm. Bruce took deep breaths to even out his heart

Something was definitely not right here.

"Ach, nein!" Germany awoke with a start at having someone touching him, and very promtly made the effort to extricate the villain from his stately personage with a very firm shove. "I vill be ze one doing the invading here, not you!"

Bruce's eyes went wide at the shoving, quickly getting out of the bed and away from the man before anything happened.

Which begged the question: "...do I know you?"

"If you don't know me yet," Germany declared, straightening himself (and his army jacket) in the bed with pomp and authority, "you soon vill!"

Bruce just sort of stared. "I think I'd rather not."

[senor_chado]

This seemed to make Germany chuckle. "Das ist too bad!" he said.

And then he looked around. "Wo ist Italy? I think he has some explaining to do!"

"Italy is a country," Bruce said very slowly. Because he was dealing with a crazy man and it was best to not make any sudden movements.

[senor_chado]

"Ob-viously," Germany grunted. "Which are you? Are you Poland? I was planning on invading you later, but I suppose we could get on with things early."

Really, there was only one thing a sane person could say to that.

"What?!"

Germany just looked at the other man and sighed, rolling his blue eyes toward the heavens.

"It ist so hard," he lamented in a grumble, "being the world's great zuperpower sometimes."

"..." Bruce was now certain he was dealing with a crazy person. "I'll just leave you to your... zuperpowers."

[senor_chado]

"Was?" Germany appeared shocked. "You cannot go anywhere! I do not know if I have invaded you yet or not. You are probably a worthless invasion, but every bit counts."

"You haven't!" Bruce said quickly, scrambling for the door now. "Trust me, you really haven't."
