I found this photo by Friedemann Hauss.
I'm not sure who the woman in the picture is, but the way she is posed and the look on her face is just extraordinary. Something so simple can invoke so many questions and thoughts. This is the kind of photo that can let your imagination run.

The answer is probably simple and nothing so spectacular as what can run through a mind. But it's still nice to think about it.
To me the photo also reminds me of an old royal photo like those of The Romanov's
Such simple picture, but the people in it lived far less than simple lives, and met an end and was anything but civil or simple. Little Alexei was only 13 when he and his family were murdered in the basement of a house they were hiding away in. But when you look at the picture it's just a simple family documenting a moment in their life.
