Here's to a bonus holiday, I suppose.
Typhoon #8, everything closed. But there's not a drop of wind. Some rain this morning around 8ish just when I was out walking Frankie, but otherwise, a pretty quiet morning.
They've already announced the #8 signal will remain in the afternoon, so officially no work today.

Due to some super stupid reason I had to go to Hong Kong yesterday, and since the Boss was paying the ticket I argued for an extra set so my Sis could go with me and we made it a trip. Visited a bookshop and I saw a lot of interesting books which I will now check out the online Library I'm on to see if they have any of those.
Then we lunched at an Australian food restaurant, I suppose, called Outback. The baby back ribs was exquisite, but the deep fried onion flower was a let down.
We visited an IKEA because the IKEA in Macau didn't have a particular mustard on stock. The Ikea we visited in Hong Kong Causeway Bay was the type that you had to walk through the maze to reach the end? So we had to walk all that way to the end, to the food section, to find that mustard. Only to see they were good for another 4 days only (Best Before 20-July-2023). I joked and said "it's still sealed, and you know what Dad says, if it's passed it's Best Before, then it's Good!" So we got one jar of it. I actually found one already past the date in the fridge. I guess i should have flagged a staff but didn't.
Quick trip back to central and I got some new incense sticks. I really like this new one I got, a Palo Santo and Lavender one. Really nice.
Anyway, we then returned to Macau and rushed back home to cater to the dogs. It was practically a 5-hour trip. Couldn't have done much in Hong Kong.
This week will be a bit of a breather because the Boss is out of town for a week. I then have my China trip coming Sunday. And the Boss wants me to work overtime on one particular day next week, it's his birthday party bash or whatever and I guess he needs some staff on hand in the venue to, I don't even know what he wants to do. Act as bouncer? Coordinate transport and send people home come 3am? Dunno. He needs to brief me on what he wants me to do. Said he will comp me a room night in Hong Kong. But I won't be able to make it a trip because I'll have to rush back the next morning, because, the dogs, of course. Sis will be at home the night before to deal with the dinner, walkies, and potties. Surely I won't be back in time for the morning walkies, but I at least need to be home by noon or lunch for their mid-day toilet break. We'll manage.
