Well my darling, I do hope you enjoyed yourself as thoroughly as I did at your charming little ball the other night. Really, your parents are quite easy to please. I do believe the only thing missing all those years in our relationship was the small matter of pest removal and perhaps a bit of enhancing their refreshments. I think I may just take your father up on the shooting excursion he promised. Unless, of course, my game never awoke from his slumber in the garden. Then it would be rather pointless.
I am incredibly charmed and pleased by the recent gifts I have received. Not only do I have a rather flattering and fashionable hat and pocket watch, I've also got the necessary defence against my beloved and Merlin, Anya these cookies are simply wonderful.
I apologise for such a rant, I'm sure it's rather impolite of me to remind some of you how very much better liked I am than yourselves, but as it's Christmas I shall do my best to make up for it. I will be spending what I'm sure will be a lovely few hours with Daphne wrapping and owling gifts this evening.
