Alanna came into the room, shaking Faithful off of her shoulders as she did. "All righty, sit, don't move, try not to sneeze."

Alanna pondered that for a minute. "Yeah, would be nice, thanks. So how did this happen anyway?"

Angel pulled his shirt off, revealing bruises that were much fainter than they'd been yesterday not that Alanna would know that, the T-shaped scar, and the bandages he'd wrapped around his chest at the height of the broken ribs. "Dru. And minions."

Alanna clicked her tongue. "Want some help with her? I'm afraid my sword skills are getting rusty without someonething to practice on." She undid the bandages, placed her hand over the ribs, and concentrated. Her palm and Angel's ribs began to glow purple.

Angel felt a warmth and an itchy tingling as Alanna worked on him. He tried to hold still. Fortunately breathing wasn't a problem. "Think you can hold your own against vamps?"

Alanna pulled her Gift inside and leaned away. She tilted her head to the side and considered this. "Probably, why? How do the ribs feel?"

Angel moved experimentally. "Better. Much better. And if you can work that sword of yours you can come. At this point I need as many experienced people to watch the backs of the inexperienced."

Alanna's smile was very familiar to anyone who has ever talked to Faithful. "When and where are we meeting up? And who else is going on this trip of ours?"

"Tomorrow, after gun club, don't know," Angel said. "And so far Parker, me, Cam, Callisto, Anakin, Aeryn, maybe Sam and others who may or may not be confirmed yet."

Alanna nodded, thoughtfully. "You can put your shirt back on, not that I'm not enjoying the view." She hit her tongue on her teeth. "Sounds like a good group."

Angel pulled his shirt on, marveling at how much easier the movement was. Sean, seeing his dad was done, came over to snuggle.

"I wanted to go by myself but apparently that doesn't happen often here." It was possible Angel was whining just a little.

Faithful hissed at Sean and snuggled next to Angel's other side.

Alanna snorted. "I know how that feels."

"I just wanna get the job done," Angel said. Quieter, but no less firm, he added, "I don't want anybody else to die."
