"Of All the Things I've Lost, I Miss My Mind The Most"
Who: Broken Master, Broken Doctor, Broken Handy
When: Sometimes after "Attempt Number Ten"
It was a beautiful day. Absolutely beautiful. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and though he'd passed two duplicates of himself on a stroll in Londontown, he hadn't a care in the world. This

"He's wrong, he's a freak. He's a freaky hand and you're clinging to him."
Well, he maybe mad at the situation but it was much easier to insult and poke fun at Handy-hand.

"I'm sorry I make you itch. I can't help that," he replied to the Doctor, hoping to keep the Time Lord calm enough that he could come up with a brilliant plan for fixing him.
Hopefully. Right now his best idea was the TARDIS. He wondered if having the Master actually be affectionate instead of a wanker for once would work.

He frowned. He wasn't sure what sort of music he liked, which was quite an issue.
Of course, he cheered up when he got to the banana, which had a very nice flavor, and forgot about his sorrows at once.

"I'm not in a band and its not a nickname, its just a name. Like The Doctor, or Handy-hand," the Master said, gesturing to the two men he was across from him, never mind that the hand was named John, he happily ignored that part as he devoured his second split.
"You're fond of me as well," he added finally, as if that would somehow sway the Doctors memory back to him.
Reply
Handy-hand did not, however.
"But he is right. You are fond of him. You're best friends," he said, nodding his head to the Doctor. "You live together. Sometimes I visit." He was trying to keep this simple. The Doctor wasn't exactly quick right now.

He made a slight face and then looked back down at his ice cream.
"There's usually a girl here," he said with the utmost softness. "Blonde hair..very large eyes..." Ah, sure, he remembers Rose Tyler but not the Master!

Which explained why fist fights and mutual damage often happened between them when things got shaky.
Hearing Rose described, as if she was meant to be here instead of him, well it hurt. His fingers curl around the table and he tried his best not to look as hurt as he felt by that. Why her of all people? Why not him? They were bonded, merged, one ... and the Doctor remembered her?
"She's not here, she doesn't belong here!" he snapped, slamming his hand down on the table before glaring at the Doctor. He'd had enough of this now, he didn't like the Doctor like this. Not at all.

He really didn't want the Doctor going back to Rose. She was his itchy person, and he didn't like feeling bad.
She made him very upset.

He was too afraid to move.
"So which of you is older?" The waitress came by to see if they needed anything else and smiled at the 'twins.'
The Doctor just blinked at her.
"not often we get twins in! Cute ones too!"
His eye twitched. This was...familiar...and not familiar at all!

"The one in yellow is older, the one with the stupid red hair is younger," the Master explained in a surprisingly sane for them, actually paying the 'human' game and pretending they were twins. Though he was still ignoring the smile he was getting from the waitress for God knows whatever reason, e hated when monkeys were taken with him, they were only good as snacks.
But he doubted snacking was a good idea right now.
Instead, he slumped back in the chair and stopped looking at the Doctor, crossing his arms and focusing on the humans outside instead. No use glaring, it wasn't doing anything for him.

"Do you remember anything?" he asked the Doctor, trying to sound patient. He didn't want to push him, but this needed to get done. He couldn't have the other wandering the room.
He remember something about the Doctor and the Master having a connection, but he doubted the Doctor would let the Master touch him right now.
This was a bad idea, but no one was paying attention anyone, and if they said anything, he'd just shoot them in the face. "Let me try this." he said with a nod, and leaned in, pressing his lips to the Doctor's.
Well, it always made him feel better!

Oh. But he rather did like kissing. It was his fourth favorite thing in the world....though he wasn't sure what any of the top three were. He frowned lightly, eyes closing, before he gave John a shove back.
"Oww! Ow, ow, ow! Itchy! My tongue itches! AH!"
Reply
Like with Jack, it was hard to be around him for a long stint.
He didn't bother to move a muscle, he simply rested his palm on his cheek and stared ahead at them. There was nothing he could do yet, this wasn't even his Doctor right now.

He was shit at fixing things, evidently. He sighed, shrugging.
"Sorry. Thought it would work. And the TARDIS is unavailable..." he glanced at the Master. "Any ideas?" He was willing to take any ideas at this moment.
Reply
Oh, but the Master made him feel so sad. And so angry. He couldn't even look at him. Having no idea that their emotions and thoughts were tied together in the most fundamental way, all the Doctor could do was protest all of this.
"You need to let me out of here. You're bother fairly crazy, I'm sure of it!" He had a feeling that he didn't want to remember them.

Pulling himself up and onto his feet, he shrugged his shoulders at John.
"I've decided to go home, you can keep playing babysitter but I have a kingdom to run," Well, he was just going to sit amongst scrap and sulk but it was better than being with him. He glanced at the Doctor once more before sighing.
"Whatever you did to yourself, you're an idiot."
