I like seeing people give money, and clothing, and food to those who have been hurt by the tsunami. It makes me feel good knowing that even if only for a short while, the whole world can agree to work together for a cause. However, it is sad that politicians *big cough* use times like these for political purposes because if they stood to gain nothing in that respect, they most likely wouldn't feel obliged to give anything. Also, I wish that one day (as my mom put it ) someone would declare our nation to be in a state of emergency and ask us to donate money to those within our own country who need money as badly as those in others. It's just sad that we can give millions to other countries to help foreign peoples but can't afford to feed our own. I know this is not a new idea, nor was it my own, but I do agree very much so with it.
I just saw "Love Song for Bobby Long " with my mom and chris. It was really good. I won't say anything more because I think people have for a long time thought my movie reviews were crap...and I KNOW they made me sound like an asshole...so yeah...
