Ok, I wanted to wait an appropriate time before making a response to the Lost finalle because I didn't want people to think I was speaking on emotion, or to actually be speaking on emotion. First off, I want to say the writers did a great job creating the show, a show of interesting if not frustrating mysteries and characters that all of us who

Eloise, why did she know SO much? Yes she was on the island but why did she seem to know everything and how was she able to "track" the island, what was that device they had?
How did ANYONE know about the island? (Dharma-hanzo) How did they find it? what were they doing there in the first place? What did THEY think the island was? How were THEY able to find it? What were they doing there exactly?
Why was the temple protected by the asian guy? what was he exactly? Why did he have to be alive for the temple to be safe?
Why did the hydrogen bomb send them back into the present? What exactly happened there?
These questions, among many others I believe have NO answers. The writers just put this stuff in there because they thought it'd be COOL and people would be like "Whhhat???? why is that???" when there were never answers to these questions.
The whole "We don't feel the need to give answers" blah blah blah, as a writer I'm telling you all...this is the translation of that. Seriously.. "There are no answers." and you're not willing to admit it so you give a high and mighty answer.

And yeah, I agree. Most of the major plots were just there to string viewers along, to be dropped when it came time to wrap them up. Then they'd move on to a shiny new mystery plot. (Many of the plotlines should have been finished LONG before the final season--such as the pregnant women problem. Even the Dharma plotline should have been DONE after Season 5. I mean damn, they went back in time to BE Dharma members! And yet no one knows anything.)
I'm disappointed, but not really surprised. Lost has always been a little disappointing in that there are so many great ideas going on, but nothing comes of them. Also, the season finales are always either amazing or terrible. Too bad we got a terrible one for the last season.
