We left Moonta Bay on the Yorke Peninsula yesterday morning, and did a record day - over 500Ks. We crossed out of South Australia into New South Wales. It was a really lovely drive. Different from what we had been experiencing with some really lovely tiny towns:
It rained part of the day, bringing the temp down:
We passed through Clare - this is a Clare Valley Vineyard:
The town of Burra where we stopped for lunch:
****waves back****
The old train station at Mannahill:
Oh, and I have bad news for everyone, I believe Santa has taken on a new profession here in Mannahill, boy he looked hot on that machine in his old red suit!:
YEP, definitely saw a sleigh & some reindeers tethered to the old hitching rail out the back of the pub:
Oh, and don't worry, I made sure I "looked to the left & looked to the right" before I crossed the busy highway:
Doesn't appear that the rain made much of an impact:
Left SA:
& Crossed into NSW:
We had fun with the train:
Nothing but lots of containers....mmmmm wonder what's in them?
Don't worry, no more trains.....for a long time:
This fellow is just looking out for lunch:
Outback NSW
You know the town is going to be slightly larger when you see this:
As I said, doesn't appear that the rain has made much difference:
Drum roll!.............
And this is where we are:
And these two were the first things I spotted in the park where we are staying...so cute, parent bird feeding baby:
