First up welcome to some newbies to LJ........
rulygreynomads my brother in law & sister in law (Dave's brother & parents of the groom at tomorrows wedding!) Also to some very dear friends of ours whom we have known for many, many years
gn_wannabes - Welcome aboard guys. "Get in, sit down, hang on - it could be a rough ride"
We left Wooli this morning at about 6am EST and drove the 300+ ks home with only a couple of stops. First at Maccas for my indulgence of a mocha frappe........then not again until we were almost home for petrol. We arrived on the Gold Coast about 11.00. It was the longest day we have had since we left on the 26th January. (Dave likes to say that yesterday was our shortest day....we travelled about 30 meters - we had to move our van to a different site. LOL).
I had a docs appointment at 12.15 (good & bad news.....good news....I didn't have sunspots that had to be burnt off *nothing worse than having to go to a wedding with scabs all over your body***..........bad news THEY ARE ONLY AGE SPOTS aaarrrggghhhh! Yeh thanks doc!) Also had an xray on my let shoulder to confirm that I now have a build up of calcium in that shoulder! Had the same in my right a few years ago, and after surgery it was brilliant....I just don't have time for surgery at the moment! Oh well....will just have to keep travelling with my left arm resting on my squishy pillow!
Picked up
girlneedsagun from the train station, did a bit of shopping, then home again. Feels a bit weird being inside our home, which isn't really OUR home at the moment. The young couple looking after it, had it looking brilliant, and Maddie was looking very well indeed, if a bit excited at seeing us. :)
