So after leaving Agnes Waters we drove a short distance to a place called Baffle Bobs at Baffle Creek. The caravan park was on a large parklike property. They had their own golf course, and bowling green and lots of beautiful birds
This is on the campground:
There were literally 100's of kangaroos on the golf course:
Whilst we were there we went for a drive to Rules Beach. Now, for years my (unattainable) dream has been to own an "old queenslander" (which, to those not in the know, is what we call an older style timber home with large verandahs around it) overlooking the ocean! Well I found it at Rules Beach:
Yes that's the walkway to the beach! Oh, and the good part?? It's for sale....Oh, and the bad part? The asking price is $1,200,000.00 (which is cheap for Ocean front property but about $1.2Million more than I could afford) :)
This is the walkway down to the beach:
Rules Beach:
On the way back to camp, Dave spotted these little fellows - Guinea Fowl, they are an introduced bird originally from Africa - OMG they make such a racket!
And then there was the ordinary old scrub turkey"
Now there's a story to this picture. Someone has built this amazing construction for swinging off with a rope.
Oh, and oops, here is the rope - now out of arms reach, after David unhooked it and inadvertantly let it go. Oh well, lets hope the kiddies who use the rope have very long arms :)
Oh and this made me laugh. Everyone is jumping on the band wagon, trying to improve their image by stating that their products are organically grown, but really....The Organic Odyssey - it's a bloody real estate agent!!! What The???
One more of the beach:
