SPN S7x03: The Girl Next Door
What I liked:
- Jensen as director! Think he did a good job, esp. with some scenes eg. the library and angling with young!Sam and Amy or the second talk between the boys ♥
- Colin Ford return as bb!Sam
- BOBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. >33333 I knew ol' codger was alive! XD;
- more Dean in the ep! :D
- The questions that rise even as the flashbacks are seen - very clever, made me ask more instead of having it explained and the fade-in/out was done nicely, too.
- young!Amy was cool, ehehe - really liked her frankness and she's so pretty, lol. >3
- Sam and his candidness and admission: 'I am a freak' - beautiful, not overplayed at all and Jared. OH JARED. The talent on this man. Very nicely done, no big drama, just acceptance. Oh, Sammy. T-T;
What I didn't like / felt iffy about:
- the ending - seems to have divided us a bit, here, but.. I do think that was very Dean. Intense scene and the little exchange with the kid and Jensen's expression after - it was like realisation of what he'd really done and begs the question, is Sam the only one really screwed? Spotlight is always on Sam with the problems but Dean has a shit tonne himself, too, bless. I'm happy the show will touch on it, hopefully!
- uh.. between young and old, what happened to Amy, huh? Some more backhistory would have been nice, before she died. IDK.
- the end shot - more Leviathan... UGH. /shudder
All in all? Still hopeful for S7. Next week is the Jo return. Ugh.
Well, still... seems cool and it's a Dean-centric exploration hopefully, which is always a good thing. Here's hopin'. :D
