Forward motion
This weekend I had plans! So I had to get up and implement them!
Except - Friday I started watching TV and then suddenly it was late. So, I didn't get up when I planned and didn't swim.
I did get up in time to race downtown and get Marcus to trim my hair. Then I got home and started to mow the lawn.
Except - I realized I was going to sharpen the blades first and that meant a trip to the hardware store to buy an attachment for my drill so I didn't have to hand spin it. By the time I was done with the purchase and sharpening it was getting late. I started to mow, but then it started to rain. When the drops got big enough to see on the sidewalk, I went in and cleaned up. This was apparently the signal for the rain to stop.
I went to a graduation party at mollyquasar where I ended up meeting tashadandelion and we discussed the six degrees of Livejournal, Jonathan Coulton, Bikram and random other things.
Saturday night I had planned on meeting up with some friends I hadn't seen for a while. Except when I swung by the house, I played with my cat, ate a quick bite to stop me from eating junk and turned on the weather channel to see how cold it would get. January the cat still wanted to play (which is unusual for her) so I flipped around the channels with one hand while wiggling string with the other. That is how I ended up not moving from the couch until much to late while watching multiple movies and part of the Heroes marathon.
Sunday I got up, finished the lawn and met warmbodyreally to go to a friend's graduation party. The tone was really different from the party the day before, and I sat outside working on my burn.
Home again I watched the remake of Casino Royale. I liked it. The movie really updated Bond well, although the darky tone won't suit everyone.
This morning I went to try to swim. Except - the pool was closed this weekend. The pool was now open - but very cold. So I got in, and got right back out and went home.
After all that, I finally got my mouth guard so I won't grind my teeth anymore.
And I lived happily ever after. The End.
