This post describes each 'fandom' Marla plays in, or can play in, what alterations to her backstory there are for each fandom, and any subsequent 'verses or storylines contained in each. If you are interested in playing any of these lines, or forming a wholly new one, please comment below! I love new lines and playing with new folks.

ORIGINAL FICTION

• Needless to say, magic exists in her universe. Not only does it exist, but it exists to the point where there are families known for it. However, it is not an "out" thing in the public. Her world also includes vampires, fairies, lycanthropes, other magical beings and things that go bump in the night. The public is slowly becoming aware of lycanthropes (known usually as "weres"), due to a ground-breaking "cure" for the disorder and a supposed vaccine. Vampires prefer their place in the shadows, and view nearly all other races as inferior. Humans are food, not love objects. You don't fall in love with your filet mignon, do you?

SUPERNATURAL

• Marla is not Edward Sidelong's biological daughter, though this is not yet known to her or her family. Instead, a high-ranking angel came to Earth and conceived her with Meredith, in an effort to create a new race of Nephilim. Think of the new Nephilim as Heaven's answer to Azazel's "special children." They are meant to serve as a Plan B of sorts or cannon fodder in Plan A. Their abilities remained dormant until Lucifer was freed. The shock of it caused medically unexplainable comas in certain folks (this accounting for Marla's coma, rather than an accident caused by Edward). The Nephilim are capable of great power and fighting prowess, but should they tap into this at its full extent, it can and will burn through their mortal bodies.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES

• Marla is younger, and still in high school. Instead of relocating to Texas in her children, they moved to Mystic Falls, VA.

ANITA BLAKE

• Instead of attending college in Texas, Marla has traveled out of state, choosing a university in St. Louis, MO.
