I can't really say what kind of afterlife I'm assuming this to be given that I've never actually believed in anything like that, although I can say with confidence that I was quite dead before I got here.

You wouldn't be the first dead person brought here. But I can tell you that we're not all dead, so I doubt this place is any kind of afterlife. But we are all human, as I'm sure you've noticed.

[Envy doesn't sound particularly happy about this, he still doesn't like it, but he's certainly calmer about it than he used to be.]

Hmm. So much for that that theory, then. And... yes. I'd noticed. Really, it's the most infuriating part of the whole thing.
