004 Cycle [Video]

[Hi Route, have a Cloud with a Pidgey on his shoulder. He looks tired and worn out, long day working at the Inn and all, but he's fine! Just curious now that he has time to actually ask what has been nagging him for awhile now.]

Can anyone tell me if they know any Pokemon that're good for riding?

people: kain, pokemon: pidgey, people: yuffie, people: scott, people: lightning, people: beatrice, people: killua, people: justice, people: lancer, people: maria, people: kairi

I've heard of Ponyta, Houndoom and Onix... but I'm sure your Pidgey will be able to carry you when it evolves!

[He's writing those names down. He then blinks and looks too his Pidgey.]

Um... well, I'm more of a ground person.

Ground person? Then maybe you can ride a Donphan! I read a book about Ground types a few days ago.

[Nods to self.]

Depends on how big you are and how big the pokémon is, most of the time.

Well I say an Onix, Ivysaur, Arcanine or a Kangaskhan. To name some that I've seen.

[Here you go, Cloud. One full body view of a grazing Rapidash as Lightning speaks. She remembers you, but, well, this isn't the Conflict.]

Ponyta evolve into this. They can handle a lot more weight than you'd think.

[Now that is an impressive creature :|a. He's still surprised you're talking to him though. Considering, you know, Squall.]

How do I get a Ponyta?

[Squall is...something else. Lightning doesn't really have the time to be making enemies here. Just...don't go after her family, Cloud. Then there'll be trouble.]

Find someone who can sell you an egg. I've never seen any wild ones here.

[Fff, like he would if he even knew where they were. 'Sides, he's practically neutral now. Chaos offed him, after all.]

...makes sense, I guess.

Thanks.

I have horses. ...Flaming horses, which is kind of strange.

They're actually kind of small, but hopefully they'll eventually be able to carry someone.

Flaming... oh, you mean the Ponyta? Someone told me about them. Do you... have any to give? Or know any place to find them?

Yeah, that's them.

...Well, I do have two of them. I could probably keep an eye out and see if any eggs show up sometime.

[Kain is leaning against the nearest vertical surface, as he is wont to do.]

Cecil has an Arcanine named Flare that he mentioned riding before. I believe it is a matter of the Pokémon being both large and strong enough to carry a human.

[You and your leaning on things. :|]

Probably. But they need to be fit for riding too. Just cause a creature is big and strong enough doesn't mean it can run the distances too.

[It's what he does, aside from jumping absurd heights and backstabbing people.]

Forgive me, I am no expert in breeding creatures. [Only stabbing them in the face.] Still, the trip he mentioned lasted two weeks and was in a snowstorm. If you were able to find and raise a Growlithe, you would likely have a fine mount.

Maybe. I'll think about it.

[You should get a new hobby, man.]

So, what have you been up to?

[He's really just curious. He's bored of this town already.]
