I saw you sliding out the bar//Bother Post/

How many years has it been? Having a body...it's a nice feeling. And the pipe is even better. Blow out opium-sweet smoke (Thank Geb for the Silk Road. He'd been long forgotten by the time Egypt had gotten such imports, but oh, it had been worth the wait), and lean against the wall. This door is a place to rest, and test his new body. The link to ( Read more... )

[Normally Isamu wouldn't pay someone with that face much mind. It wasn't someone he had ever been introduced to, really, and he hadn't felt very social in the past few days. There was something he had to pay attention to, and it wasn't in the Mall.]

[So he shuffled past "Naoya", nursing his daily coffee, trying to work out what he was supposed to already know.]

Oh, that's...He knows the Universe's name, from his time in Yue's head, and from her dungeon, and so...just head over, arm draped over his shoulder. Kids these days.

"You, Isamu, are thinking far too hard."

Isamu looks around, confused. And then he realizes who it is.

"Set?" It sounds like him, anyway. And (hopefully) the worst that would happen is that he would get punched if he was wrong, and he can take a few punches.

"Ah... probably..."

"Oh good, you do pay attention." He's draping on you. Personal space? What's that?

"If you know it, then don't do it. Just go out and live...your human lives are so short, why are you wasting it trying to find an answer? Make it up as you go~"

"... Because our lives are so short. We have little time to find our answers." Just ignoring the personal space issue at the moment. Set's a god and could probably kick his ass at a moment's notice, so it's not worth it.

"... Or something like that." He doesn't sound convinced. "I'd like to just make things up as I go, but I haven't had the energy to just... go." Prophetic dreams are tolerable every once in a while. Several times a week, with most of them being repeats? It's draining on all of his energy reserves - physical, mental, emotional.

"Idiot," Set drawls, scooping Isamu up with surprising strength. Being a god, it has benefits.

"You're forgetting what matters. Really, she should have taken you to the Space-Time Witch, but it doesn't matter. Igor will work well enough." Brb hauling you off somewhere to sleep.

He doesn't have the strength to protest this at the moment, just rests his head against Set's shoulder, closing his eyes. Somewhere along the way he realizes he dropped his coffee cup, but it doesn't matter.

"Yue's the one that talks to Igor..." Isamu mumbles, a little embarrassed at being hauled around so easily.

"And you have a right and reason and need to do so as well. Philemon would be better, but the old bastard's hard to hunt down these days. Always staying out of things directly...It's not likt Nyarlahotep will play by the rules but he still persists. Stupid bugger."

He's rambling, but it's been longer than he cares to admit that he's been able to freely interact with humanity, and they have always fascinated him. Lifespans so short and insignificant and yet...they tear and change the very face of the world around them.

"It's not like I have that key like she does. Don't know how to find him..." He feels like he's a small child again, being carried off to bed after falling asleep over an old book. He's not sure who Set's talking about, aside from Igor, but it sounds important, so he struggles to pay attention.

And he struggles to not pay attention to the fact that he's in the arms of an attractive male, who seems to be around his age - which he's not, he reminds himself.

Oblivious Set is oblivious. The humans always loved Osiris, or Horus, or any of the others but him. And never like that, anyway...they weren't Greek, for Nut's sake.

"You could just ask around, in this place. Geez, did she get all the brains?"

In terms of common sense? Probably. At least he has the brains to not answer the question out loud.

Instead he just shuts up and lets Set carry him.

Good boy. Don't make Grandpa kick your ass.

Hmm, hmm, hmm...where is that bastard? Welp, if we can't find him we'll just tie you down somewhere to sleep until we can.

"... Why are you helping me, anyway?" He asks softly. Sure, Yue helped Set out, but that didn't mean he had any debt to Isamu, really.
