A grim realization.
Thursday I said goodbye to two good friends of mine, one of whom was one of the best friends I've had in my entire life; the other one probably the most caring, generous, and honest person I have ever known.
The thought has occured to me that I may never see either of them again.
Also, another of one of my old best friends of my entire life I did not get to say goodbye to.
