Procrastination abounds. I should return to reality now; instead I'm trying to steal another minute or two before Coming Back From Vacation.
WorldCon. Toronto. Friends, acquaintances and strangers. (Oddly, I saw a lot more of the first 2 categories than I expected, given I only ever make it to a few local conventions. Somewhere, somehow I must be doing something right.) Poor sore tired achy feet just barely recovering, and I've been more off them than on for 3 days now. Things that went Just Right, and things that were just insane. Much sense of accomplishment, of belonging, of I Was There and I Contributed and I Did My Best and My Best Was Good and I Am Friends With Some Damn Talented, Well-Clued People and general Oh Wow. I think I'm still buzzing, especially from the work that I did, and especially from the parts that were a challenge. And from the mind-boggling coolness of people that I am priviledged to spend my time with.
And, the obligatory piece of meta-journaling: this would be what I would have written if I did, in fact, have an actual me-account. I think this is the first one of those. Ever closer do I get.
