(no subject)
Been here at this desk for 6 and a half hours already. I have 18 hours left. funfun. The first few hours went by rather quickly, though, so that's good. I got in at about 8:15 a.m. and relieved the Staff Duty guy from last night. He let his runner go home and we waited for today's CQ Runner to show up. She was supposed to be here at 8:30. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited until after 9 to start calling her supervisors. I called her platoon sergeant, and then her first sergeant. They said they'd keep trying to call her. Eventually, around 10, after continuous knocking (read: trying to bang the door down) on her door, and numerous attempts to contact her via phone, her first sergeant called and told us they'd found someone else to come in in her place. the guy that was to replace her came in around 11:30 and last night's sdnco finally got to go home. so that's the boring story that i'm pretty sure you couldn't care less about. i know i wouldn't care hahahahaha
so last night, i decided to try a new outfit. i put on my tan timberland's, black baggy pants, black and white 3/4 sleeve shirt, baby blue 'bubble' jacket, and hoop earrings and went to meet up with q, rt, and the other guy. q and rt teased me a little saying i was "gangsta" and "thuggin it up". then the other guy walks in. he takes one look at me and says: "Did you trip and fall into some Roca Wear?"
it was like the funniest thing the three of us had heard ... like ... ever. yeah that story isn't as interesting as i originally planned either. hmm....
so i'm gonna watch The Last Samurai for a while. I might post more boringness later around hour 14 or so. byebye
