14 or so hours of holiday left, much of which will be spent making up for sleep missed last night during my trip to Edinburgh.
render, Big Dave and Richard were all in, which is apparently a rare event in itself owing to the latter's female ties.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. The film I eventually saw on Friday was The 51st State, which was fantastic, a real larf. If I'd known that Emily Mortimer was in it, I'd have gone to see it sooner! Also didn't know it was written by Stel Pavlou, whose novel 'Decipher' is now on my to-buy list at the very top. Speaking of purchases, I went a bit mad in Virgin and bought 5 CD's, nothing of great importance, basically filling gaps in my collection.
By contrast, I was very good money-wise when I got to Edinburgh yesterday, a trait I hope to maintain at least through this week. I played Gran Turismo 3 for the first time in a few months, if I get time this week I might see if I can get my assault on the Beginner League world Championship started again. I also watched the ever-hilarious GTA3 being played for a while too. Render has loaned me his Free Enterprise DVD to watch in the gap between new TV programmes, that should be good.
All in all, it's been a very good break, though I suspect it's not going to be long before work begins to wind me up once more. Still, at least I have something to aim for, that being Big Dave's birthday bash, which means next weekend back in Edinburgh!
