...There are some who believe that perhaps the Deities are not responsible for the occurrences in the City. However, why do they not attempt to speak with the citizens? Why do they not attempt to understand them?
I am unsure whether they are indeed the cause of everything. However, their apathy, calling themselves gods yet refusing to help people, is still unacceptable.
Isn't that just how gods are? I've never really dealt with beings like that before, but from what I know of human legends and mythology, that's how they're generally portrayed. Higher beings with no regard for anything lower than them. Another question is, if they do have all this power, why do they do so little with it?
I had been taught differently with regard to a god, but then I found out that a god did not exist. This world... There is no such thing as a god.
I can only conclude that they are treating the citizens as something beneath them, something they can experiment on or toy with. This City... I have left and arrived several times, and it still has not changed.
I've never really believed in anything like that. Beliefs like that arise when people question the nature of their origins. Stuff like that doesn't bother me.
It probably never will, at this rate. If there's no way to get the upper hand on these deities, then they'll never have any reason to act differently.
If it weren't for the Deities...
