My favourite thing about year in reviews is that I NEVER include TV. Like idk I never properly keep track. I feel like with TV in particular I'm a lot bigger on nostalgia. Lots of Simpsons, Degrassi, Bob's Burgers, lots of stuff just having on in the background as I prioritize movies and books. Also realize that I watch a lot of anything new with my parents so it has to be something at least one of them likes.
Actually this includes my sister sometimes because we're almost always watching stuff in the same room. So Nikki got back into The OC recently, I think she's the one who got us watching Cruel Summer in 2022, and by the end of the year she had us rewatching Ginny & Georgia with her. JUST in time for Thursday!

But the only new stuff I can even think about getting into are Rings of Power and House of the Dragon. Oh and Andor I guess. All shows I watched, as you guessed, with my dad. Still haven't watched the last two episodes of House and Andor though lmao.

I actually wanted to make this post about Gone Baby Gone though, since I'm surprised I only saw it once in 2022. Here's the trajectory of my life:
- I have fancast Charles Melton as Patrick Kenzie these last few years
- He recently wrapped up filming a movie with Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore, his serious actor era is UPON US Y'ALL
- I didn't know Will Trent was being adapted until I saw a commercial and did they racelift him?! They racelifted him!
- I will get Charles Melton as Patrick Kenzie, it's allllllll falling into place.

And all this rambling is because this is the year I had wanted to do a Kenzie Gennaro reread, which is great timing because Lehane has a new book coming out in April! Amazing! I hope he comes and does a book tour here again yes I am that quote from The Simpsons.
But yeah I don't see myself just watching Gone Baby Gone ONCE this year but who knows!
