TUTORING UPDATE
Soooooo I have some great news about the tutoring.
This week I still need to end it with the families of boys and if they cancel AGAIN, any one of them, I'm just gonna call them up. They don't usually do that 2 weeks in a row, but I'm just dying to leave them. It's not as hard as with the families of girls because I've only known 2 of them for a few weeks and the other one a couple of months. The girls, one family I was with them for over a year. And with Elsi I've been with her 4 years.
Speaking of Elsi, that's the big exciting news though! They were part of the company and I was upset because she's the one I'll genuinely miss. He practically begged me to stick with her and over the week I decided I'll only stick with her in the company. Alongside those 2 others families, since one of them is gonna be in Albania all summer anyway.
But then, get this, Elsi's family doesn't wanna pay the company anymore either. I kept insisting it was fine, because they know the boss. So I stated that too and the dad was like "oh please I know him from a sister in law's friend's cousin". And they were especially annoyed to be continually paying him 40/50 and I'm only getting 17 out of that. We understand that this happens with businesses, but they've known me for so long, and believe I deserve 30. I AM SO ELATED.
My mom has an acupuncturist where she gets almost all her medication advice from because she's become a Maga nut somehow thanks to this vaccine. I'm so serious unfortunately lol she and my dad have always been pretty conservative but it's really funny how he still trusts the liberal government and this vaccine snapped something inside her and now she hates ANYTHING liberal. Except of course for her 2 liberal daughters lol. (The youngest sister is as conservative as her lol.)
It's also ironic that my dad, Vikki, and I have all gone to university and lean more liberal, whereas my mom and Nikki never did and are more conservative. Says a lot lol.
Anyway my actual point here is that my mom is really close with her acupuncturist. She doesn't know how to describe it because she doesn't consider him a best friend or someone she hangs out with and sees frequently, but she likes confiding in him and sees him as SOME type of friend. (There's no affair or anything my mom would never do that lol.) And I told her I felt the same way about Elsi and her family. I work for them but I get along with them so well because I've known them so long too.
It's so nice, I can't wait to complete my TESL courses and start getting a fulltime job there while I can still help these three families on the side during the weekends. Ahh things are looking up!
