I lost my voice but I'm getting really good at charades. I'm kind of like the party game at parties. People can talk with me and try to figure out what I mean when I hold up my pinky ["he's skinny!"]... etc.
Side effects of not being able to talk:
1.) I whisper a lot so when people call me they think I'm in the library. This can be a problem. Last night, I was grocery shopping for lasagna ingredients for the team dinner. Rebecca called me and thought I was in the library. She started to "strongly suggest" that I go grocery shopping RIGHT THEN. I couldn't figure out why she was so mad at me.
2.) When I see people that I'm only slightly friends with, they think I'm strange for whispering "hi."
3.) People think I'm constantly telling secrets and they become miffed until they realize that I'm only talking about how great the salad is.
this sucks.
