Crazy Morning

Oct 05, 2006 09:11

It actually started yesterday. The craziness, not the morning, though there was a morning yesterday. Oh, let me start over.

Yesterday, after school my kids went AWOL on me, causing a 20 minute span of time in which I ran around the neighborhood screaming their names. I was ten seconds from calling the police when they were found by the neighbor girl. They had ridden their bikes to a trail that is near here, but not near enough. I hurredly threw them into the car, as we were already ten minutes late for Trast's piano lesson. After piano, I arrived home to find a car in the driveway. One of Trast's friends wanted him to come over. While I had no desire to reward him, I needed a bit of a break, so off he went. Ayden was invited as well, but Ayden had shit his pants and sat around in it, so there was no way in hell I was letting him go anywhere.

Ned was being an ass to the baby in the middle of the night. He is a crabby jerk when he is woken up, and I wish he could find it in himself to turn that shit off for the sake of his son. So, I got up with Pel at six and it seemed that his diaper had not been changed since I last changed it at 11. No wonder he was crying. His whole sleeper was covered in piss.

Then I checked on my account balance, because I wanted to see if the grocery check had made it through, and make sure Ned transferred the money. He didn't transfer anything, so my account was massively overdrawn. That SUCKS. On top of that, he needs to work more hours, but he doesn't leave the house until nine or later because he dicks around here for so long in the morning,

And speaking of the morning

I had designs on sleeping in with my beautiful little baby. I got the kids going, then sent them down to make their own masterful bowls of cereal. Very soon after they got downstairs I heard Ayden crying as if he had been severely burned. Turns out that he had overpoured a massive bowl of cereal, and Trast thought it was his duty to pull some of that cereal out, causing Ayden to bite his brother and cry. When Ned chastised Ayden, Ayden FLUNG his cereal at Ned. Holy shit. That was totally nuts, and sent Ned into a tizzy. Ayden mustered an apology, and the baby demanded my presence with a bottle, so I instructed Trast to get ready to leave.

They walk to school. Today, I noticed that it was 8:15 and Ayden was still putzing around. Trast was nowhere to be found. He fucking left without Ayden to teach him a lesson about being ready on time. It was at the moment after I found myself calling Trast's name from the porch without response that I found the only reasonable thing to do was stomp. Well, and scream. So I stomped and screamed and Ned came out of the bathroom and told me to knock it off, but he just didn't know that I needed to do it.

He drove Ace to school, where Ace reported to Trast that mom was "jumping up and down, she was so mad."

Please please please be a good day.
