end of may: finals. sweet. lots of late late late bedtimes, friend joining me in the studio until 4 am, learning german? finals over and done with, i really hate gnomes, packing my life away, partying it up on welch's second floor, waffle house with the birds, harry potter with the fav, the text message, erika's house again, motherfucking minus the bear and thursday in toledo, the drive home, my darien lovers, tilly pond, rowayton drive-bys, packing for the west, barbeque at pams
ASITAW!: packing the trailer, justin's madness, goodbye owu!, st. louis arc, christening the trip in oklahoma with a hot tub and wine, "this is what i thought ohio would look like," mad stormz in texas, everett? gross. cadillac ranch, the worst night of camping i've ever experienced, and we finally made it to new mexico. more wine was consumed. moved in taylor and nicole while intoxicated...
weeks two & three: flea market, cheap pearls, cheap cowboy boots, expensive film, hiking at tent rocks, memorial day bbq at nicole's uncle's house, asparagus!, amazing mojitos, the discovery of hornsby's, classes with wendy, horrible prints, albuquerque, creeper lenses, the guy from desperate housewives, taos, colorado sand dunes, bandit!, natty & a campfire, madrid's movie set, tattoo tammy [is on drugs...], final critique at wendy's house, the best guac i've ever had, blue collar comedy with the prof, celebrate the end of session one! drinks all around!
week four: arizona indian reservation. roughing it with bud lites, a powerbook, and mr & mrs smith. canyon de chelley "andondecanyonwall." welcome to utah! packing for the raft trip [aka buying beer..?]. 60 cans of natty on the colorado river. 10 were left the next morning. amazing food. almost drowned. our raft guide went to owu. campfire catchphrase with intoxicated teams makes for an amazing evening. nate's variety pack. jeep and hummer tours of the utah lands. lost my nalgene. colorado! its green again! gorgeous mountains. camping in justin's backyard. driving through east wyoming sucks. red lodge montana is awesome.
weeks five and six: bozeman! discovery of mckenzie's restaurant and the leaf and bean. it hailed on us at hyalite canyon. more classes, boo. discovering bradford washburn's photos. the night at peter's and travis'. i fell off the cooler twice. they called my mother. he bit a raw scaled fish. needless to say, dont look for friends while you're wandering drunk in the park. the same drive to west yellowstone i took four years ago. trip to fairy lake made me forget how much i missed camp. taylor's birthday and my first night at the bar. owned the process of cutting mat board. final critique. more celebrating.
week seven: helena, where we had a visit from leah! glacier national park is my new love. apgar the moose. the big red bus. beginning to hate charlie m russel. 4th of july picnic. TONS of food. lots and lots of daiquaris. sunset and fireworks at pete's hill. pride & prejudice date with tay. the daiquaris dont stop. yellowstone national park. carter gowl's photography. buffalo, moose, and bears oh my! our sweetass cody wyoming hats. my first timbuk2. my birthday dinner! tension rising in the van. possibly. so good to be back.
weeks eight and nine: classes begin with kent. he's kinda crazy, but knows what he's doing. my birthday celebrating: rum & coke & pirates of the caribbean. darkroom madness. the pita pit might even beat hot potato. all day trail ride. 11 hours on a horse will kill your body. selenium toning. "a good photo moves the blood, even after 20 years." floating the madison river. lots and lots and lots and lots of printing printing printing and mounting. final critique with kent wasnt as bad as i was anticipating. the best day with beth and taylor. party at brysons... sucked.
week ten: idaho. i finally saw a moose! we killed an owu van driving up the tetons. but the tetons are gorgeous. lots of driving again. near death experience, but jason saved us. fancy amazing dinner in grand lake. drinking in justins house. denver colorado! camera obscura is heaven. jason hit a bird. kansas sucks. welcome back to st. louis. we made it to OHIO! crashing at jason's house. partying at jasons house. the flight home. the five hour delay. finally in connecticut! show in wilton = the matches.. just for my sister.

aand now i'm back at home. i saw hootie and the blowfish for free in stamford with some of my absolute favorite people and my absolut favorite alcohol.. so that was basically the most most most amazing night i've had at home in a long long time. so until i get back to school i'm being a big bum, missing lots of owu people and getting really pumped for whats going to be an amazing semester. rooming with lynne, partying in columbus, meeting new people, hanging with the old favorites, seeing where things go with umm.. about that. going to more shows with my efox. camping for mid semester break. beth's house in michigan. all this while trying to pass classes.. ha.
if you read all that, you're a trooper. cant wait to see all you owuers. cant wait to party my last nights here with my ct lovers.
