This is the story of Orian:
When I started playing ffxi, it was because of some close IRL friends, my roommate (Sphen) as well as 3 friends who lived in the same apartment complex as us (Chaz, Runefaust, and um, can't remember Andy's char's name). We all started playing in NOV of 2003. I started playing Orian as a mule for Sphen, and when I bought my own copy of ffxi, I just didn't want to bear starting over from my level 32 warrior(lol) who's subjobs included a lvl 13 whm lvl 5 thf and lvl 5 mnk, and eventually went on the include pld as my subjob for the duration of my time in Garlaige Citadel. It was my goal to camp and kill a NM, and seeing as I was a level 32 warrior without a worthwhile subjob, I chose to pick to camp Steam Scale Mail as my choice camp and drop from:
I killed him twice, and two times more did he best me ( I had no clue that a simple antidote would make the fight so much easier for me back then) but on that 5th time, after spending about 5 weeks camping him, I got the drop.
During this entire time, my adventures grew seperate from my friends who had joined a linkshell "DragonForce" while I spent my time with a group of people called "The Legion". All my friends developed internet relationships, even though I thought it was weird. Even those with girlfriends (Sphen) and that's how I met Littleone and Teggie. Chaz befriended Teggie and eventually only did quests with her and duo'd rather than partied. They actually got most jobs to 30 duo. Eventually the leader of the legion quit playing the game actively so he gave everyone a pearlsack, and having that pearlsack brought me great joy. I gave pearls to all the noobies that I met who asked, and I even offered pearls to many new players that I just happened to see without a pearl. I became friends with a couple people who were in the shell who's names you might recognize still to this day:
Desiranna
Smeagol
Lott
Naqi
Damion
M (hmm, taru who leveled RNG w/ Damion I leveled PLD in the jungles... hmmm)
- though most of them moved to Remora when the server switch first became available.
Sidenote: Desiranna was the kindest person I had ever met to that point and basically solo'd my PLD adv job quest for me since I was a 32WAR/13WHM, and even so, she only had kind things to say and encouraging words.
Around July of 2004, I moved to East Lansing after getting my associate degree and thus went my seperate ways with Bill, we were great roommates, but as we moved out, we had some troubles with bills and lost that friendship, which was really unfortunate, since his G/F and I (now his wife) were really close friends. Like we all are, I was addicted to ffxi and quickly convinced him to let me have the full account and then Sphen became the mule (52lolDRG) and my 32 WAR became the main. It took about 3 months for me to get the account from him due to missing one of the registration codes. He had stripped the accounts though, so I didn't have time for leveling, just farmed Tiger Hides and fangs for a while, and eventually Coeurls since the meat+hide+hair combo sold well enough for me to get back on my feet. I didn't really know anyone anymore, and those who were in the Legion with me had all quit or moved on to a "real" linkshell. While I was farming for Silk Threads, I met a paladin, Vhai, who talked with her ls and got me into the LS Holywar.
Some friendly faces were found in there which you may remember or recognize:
Taruna
Oishi
Vhai
Wolfram
Tarana
Dereaper
Regeanne
and I apoligize but I can't remember the leader's name.
This was the group that I did Genkai1 with. I managed to find just a few old screenshots.
At the same time, I joined up with some friends who were PST players, and though my schedule didn't allow for me to play with them very much, it was nice to have access to "MadCowErasure" because I was in college and sometimes I could stay up all night to play ( and other's I did anyway) and some of those member's included:
Moooomento
Erasure
Natcormar
Randrix
Fahrenheits
BigHeadKitty
and certainly more than I cannot remember.
This was ZM12 which they all fought for me again since I was the odd 7th man-
I stayed there for chat purposes until I was level 52 and got an invite from Littleone to get help with my Genkai2. It was SO awesome to be apart of such a big event with so many people. I had been in an alliance before, but this was the first time we were really out to do something that required some leg work to accomplish, and with the hard work of Morpheusss and Sarumann (extra vowel leaders, ftw) we pulled it off without much of a hitch. Shortly after this Genkai team up between Sarumann's LS and Morpheusss' LS which consisted mainly of two groups that staticed together on their quest to 75, they disbanded old shells and formed TCO. [FEB2005]
Morpheusss was the original leader, and he did a dam fine job. His tenure lasted until 07/2005 when real life and dealing with drama drove him from the linkshell along with a couple members to pursue smaller events that were more "fun" for him, where as Sarumann picked up the reigns and continued with the linkshell for large, end-game events. After seeing things that needed help, and after talking for a long while with Sarumann, I became an officer in TCO [NOV2005]. Sarumann, Vaala and Littleone were the foundation of the linkshell and I wasn't sure that the LS could survive at the end of the summer in 2006 when they all stopped playing. The main officers, Hidaeon, Malakani and myself ran the events though Hidaeon was the interim leader and had final say in things. I was certainly nice to play it off that I was just an officer and didn't know it all. However, the system was burning Hida out and he was playing less. This put more of a burden on me and eventually I was leading without being the main boss. For months this continued, but in [DEC2006] I reshelled the LS and became the 3rd Mega-Boss. The linkshell hit it's peak in the following year under my guide, but if it wasn't for all those that had come before me, it never would've been possible. The linkshell broke in DEC2007 after a long successful run.
Many people have came threw the door to the linkshell known as TCO, and while it's certainly hard for me to remember them all, I'm going to give a list of those that I can remember as well as a big thank you to them all for making the gaming experience what it was for me.

I was the first member of TCO in sky.
When CoP came out, it was a LS event to go through and get those missions done. I was lucky enough to get a win on the second try for this Riverne part. [MAR2005]
