Referendum

Oct 27, 2017 20:47

Voting has concluded today on a ("non-binding") referendum in Australia about same-sex marriage. Now there's nothing left to do but wait for the votes to be counted.

The pro-SSM side is expected to win comfortably, but I have a feeling the result will be closer than expected.

I believe we're in the midst of a hidden backlash against gay rights, where homophobes keep quiet until they know they have the numbers. It's basically a conspiracy. (And they accused us of having a gay "agenda".)

The results of the referendum will show if I'm right or not.

I had a dream a few nights ago that Trump had been impeached and Mike Pence has taken over as US President, leaving gay people desperately afraid for their rights. Honestly not that implausible.
