Rockin' It
This morning, the girls let me sleep in! Until 8:30 a.m., woot! I got up, posted the blog and wrote an article for Demand Studios because there are finally articles in the queue, which is great since we're broke.
Then the girls and I made Christmas cookies because I have awesome children and we just make Christmas cookies in May, like, whatever. We brought a half dozen over to Puff's where we played and ate lunch.
I brought them back home for nap, but they decided they weren't napping today. So I made them play quietly in their room while I wrote another article. Then I told them they could play quietly downstairs while I finished up a book I'm reviewing tomorrow for the Blogher Book Club (they pay $$ for book reviews). And it WORKED. Holy shit. I even had time to write the review for tomorrow.
Then I cleaned my kitchen and living room. Dishes and toys put away. Off to the gym with us, and the girls were so good! They didn't even cry, and they said even the "white hair" was nice (there's an older woman there whom they don't like. Probably because she doesn't put up with their tantrumy garbage.) And she was thrilled with them when I picked them up.
The old guy who stands next to me in Combat was talking to me about them and an older woman was like, DAMN YOU HAD TWINS?!
She had had twins too. But hers were full-term. She had SIXTEEN POUNDS of baby in her at one point. o.O Respect forevar.
Now, we're home, getting dinner ready, going to shower and wash the kitchen floor, and tonight I've got two manuscripts to edit.
