I should have known as soon as the UPS guy asked me to help him move the packages into the house. I should have told him to turn around and bring them back when the two of us had trouble lifting the box and sliding it into the room.

I know this makes me sound like a helpless female from the 50's and I don't care: if it has more than 7 or 8 pieces, I'm not touching it. I do mine and many other people's taxes, I install a carseat slowly but THOROUGHLY, I can tighten a nut like nobody's business (omg, if I ever have to date again, THIS will be my closing statement) but I won't touch anything that has pieces lettered through the whole alphabet. 8 piece max, better not need anything but a child's rendering of a diagram.

I wonder if any of that type of furniture that requires assembly actually has all the parts and has the holes drilled correctly? I've never seen it! Grin.

I would have been in tears long before that. Hate instructions with a passion and usually lose them deliberately!! I can't even make simple things work, or start spray bottles, or open anything in plastic wraps.
Most of these kits have some vital piece missing, hilarious entry, but horrible.
