LKSJLAKSFLASF and shit hits the fan
i had to reread everything to wrap my head around it all
so professor wan is a 'fixed' invalid, father to 'fixed' half-invalid luhan, whose tail is expired and that's just another can of worms and joonmyeon is unexpectedly heartless (or normal in this society) also zitao is a sweetheart ;;
although i'm happy minseok will be making an appearance, i'm a little hesitant to see what condition he's in being under favona's control :( and then what'll become of luhan??? i feel like he has powers that the tail suppressed and now that it's expired they're going to be revealed.

oh wow what a change, bio to business? i hope things are going/will go well! kudos to you for taking that step :)
i'd like to drop out too but i have no idea what i'd do then, plus i actually like what i'm studying, i'm just not good at school? i'm doing biotech & genetics and it's the lab-based stuff that i like and am good at, but my school focuses on the theory (read:textbook recollection) and ugh -____-
i'm more of a hands-on learner so i'm ok that my grades aren't exactly the greatest but its still discouraging and i feel like they don't represent my potential and will prevent me from getting a decent job when i'm actually capable ://

lol omg i didn't mean to have a therapy sesh here

yup pretty much.
unfortunately because i update so slowly there's like…a lack of consistency but i think after rereading some parts, things make a lot more sense haha

and yes. all those points are right. professor wan aka the professor that mentored kris, joonmyun in their postgrad years, and then mentored luhan (and encouraged him to apply at Trident) is one of the first invalids that Kris' father "fixed". and going by the story that Kris' father told, the "fixed" Invalid fell in love with "one just like us" and so Luhan is a product of love between an Invalid and Valid (cue Kris' accusations about Luhan and his mother being Invalid sympathisers). there goes all the science whoosh.

more on joonmyun soon :D
and yes zitao is ;A;

haha well, minseok….let's see how he is. it will be… hopefully..interesting! and yeah luhan's in some deep shit, but…he's technically still unconscious so his powers are probably the least of his worries atm x___x lol

Yeah, it is a huge change. although I've always been keen with marketing and public relations (it's just that bio has been my life since school days so I never got a chance to explore anything else) but thank you, things are going quite well so far :)

I think if you like what you're studying then it's safer to stick around a bit longer. I know that it can be discouraging to see that your results don't reflect how you feel about the courses but I think looking at it from a different perspective might help. I remember when I first started university and my grades were so mediocre and I was really disheartened…but my course coordinator told me that performing well in high school doesn't equate to performing well at tertiary level, but that doesn't mean that you're not doing well in general. Passing an exam, or an assignment already shows you are capable. and honestly you could be the best in your year level but in the end…in the outside world, people don't really care unless you're a fresh graduate and you have nothing else in your resume/cv apart from your degree. i think employers look for so much more than your academic history, so hopefully getting a decent job won't be too much of a hassle for you! a combination of experience and extra curricula work (volunteering or whatever) probably would make a huge impact too.

haha don't worry, I'm happy that you can put your thoughts/feelings here. sometimes I think us "youths" are forced to make decisions about our future (on an academic level) so early so it's good to..rethink things every once in a while. a little hesitation never hurt anyone haha.

ah! so luhan's mom must've known about professor wan then
it's so weird to think of joonmyeon as this heartless considering he's such a prince but then it kindof works?
oh poor luhan. i have this idea that favona will want possession of luhan asap and kris'll have to be the one to carry it out but he'll alert trident and there'll be this big escape plan involving all the invalids teaming up and maybe baekhyun with his inventions

yeah that's what i've heard as well. i've managed to secure a volunteer position at a lab so i'm going to work my way up there, and start putting effort into networking and hopefully that'll be enough to overlook/make up for my grades.
the whole transition from highschool to university is so rushed and there's no real preparation for it and i really think there should be.
anyway, thank you :) i think i just needed to get an outside view on things

yes, it's safe to say luhan's mom would've known about professor wan. it would be a nasty secret to keep >.<
lol yeah i had to villainize someone and i thought i would pick him. i don't read much other exo fic so i don't know how other people usually characterise him but i just figured it work out…somehow haha.

lol you're idea is an interesting one! but i don't think i could pull off a big escape…i wouldn't even know how to orchestrate one (probably would have be thinking for days and actually drawing up blueprints of the favona institute so make it plausible haha) - but the invalids at Trident and baekhyun are definitely involved in something that will happen… *vague vague*

oh that's great! volunteering is always good and looks great on the resume. and the fact that it's at a lab makes it a plus since you enjoy that field!!
i definitely agree, the last 2 or so years of high school is so stressful when you're expected to make so many decisions and to perform your best. i don't know what kind of preparation could be incorporated though, the education system seems so complex haha.
no problem! glad to assist in anyway :3
