What is up today.

Well, let's see how Thursday is going.

So classes are going mediocre at best. I was afraid I might fail MGMT (Management) 405 but it turns out I got 9/15 points on the first test and 15/20 on the second test. The final will be worth 50 points so I still have the chance to get an acceptable (C- or better) grade. After actually going to the class this morning (yay!) I went to see the professor in her office hours and that's what she told me.

So I will need to figure out pretty soon whether I'll try again to come up with enough material to do the stand-up routine for my Comedy class. I probably won't. I can opt to tell five jokes instead (I don't have to write the jokes in that case). I should do that.

I filed my FAFSA late this year. That means I can't get any Cal Grants the '04-'05 year (which is a big source of free money if I'm going to school here. The upside is, that I won't be going to school in California anyway, so I'll be relying on federal aid and if I go to a private school, Tia suggests I could get scholarships from the school itself. So it'll probably be okay. Oh, so my expected family contribution this year (what the government determines from your FAFSA) is zero dollars.

So maybe I'll try to get my laundry done today. I also need to go to the bank and get a cashier's check for $60 to send to Disney to reserve my place in the program.

I learned a valuable lesson: never replace Dilbert at the top of my LJ Portal with a person's "last-entry-view" unless you know that person's LJ won't ever depress you. Yeah, the portal is my homepage. I fixed it back to the proper layout.

Somebody make me quit reading Slashdot. Or at least quit posting in it. Time-waster!!!

The Netgear XE102 Wall-plugged Ethernet bridge is an excellent product. I'm going to install a few for a client and I tested them the other day. Completely seamless, as it should be. A great alternative to 802.11g/b when range is a problem, such as in an old three-story house.

Any ideas on where I should transfer for Spring '05, anyone? I'm open to your opinion(s). Criteria: Must have a business major, and an information systems program. Other than that, I don't know.

I'm going to try to get back in the habit of posting in my LJ more often. It feels good to post everything I'm thinking so that two or three people out there can read it. Better than just sitting here and being upset by myself.
