[The PCD's feed turns on to what seems to be a random shot of the sky. It quickly reveals itself to be a falling shot, as the sky is rapidly getting further away as building and trees appear. A voice can be heard, screaming at the tops of it's lungs as green leaves suddenly become closely visible. It's cut off when a large thunk sounds, shortly

Kagome-chan, are you alright?! There's a button, on the top of your device--push it. Now.

[She obediently pushes the button and holds the machine closer.]
Where are you? And what's going on?

We're in another world--we've been brought here against our will with many others from their respective worlds. Sesshoumaru and Naraku are here, too. There's no telling when or if we're going home, and this place is dangerous. I'm coming to get you--don't move.

[Kagome's used to epic fights, world-hopping and time-travel. She swallows down most of her questions as she climbs down from the tree, and tries to find a good vantage point to look for Sango.]
Are InuYasha and Miroku-sama not here? This is bad. And Shippou's not with me, either...

You both left about two months ago, around the same time.
[But that's all she's saying before the feed clicks off and Kirara flies into view at a breakneck pace--slowing only to hover by the tree. Sango, with an expression that's a mix of relief and apprehension, extends a hand to her friend to help her onto the giant cat.]
Kagome-chan.

[She grips onto her friend's hand, her own face full of complete trust. It swiftly turns to confusion as she settles behind her on Kirara, though.]
I don't remember anything about this place. My memory... [She pauses, then shakes her head. There are more pressing concerns right now.]
I saw Naraku. He knows I'm here.

[It feels both strange and familiar to have Kagome sitting behind her, and as soon as her friend is safely on Kirara's back, the cat demon takes off again for a certain Greek house.]
...damn, the house is already full. [She sighs, hating to impose this on Riku and her other housemates, but...] We're going to stay at the house with Riku-san and the others tonight, Kagome--you can bunk with me. It'll be a little cramped, but we have to make do. They won't mind. And tomorrow... we can look into the old house--the one we used to share, when you and InuYasha were here.

[She half-smiles, trying to lighten the mood a tiny bit. She can tell her friend is stressed and weary, and even though she gets the why, she wants to alleviate it a bit.]
But Sango-chan... What happened while we were here? You haven't been alone with Naraku all this time, have you?

He's been here about two weeks... but for a while, everyone in this place was forced to be human, so he was without his powers. The Animus--the creatures we think may have brought us here--create events every other week that can range from taking peoples' powers, as has happened, to making it so that everyone is followed around by their own song. You were there for that one, by the way.
[She rolls her shoulders.] I'm not alone. I have friends here... I've been living with Riku-san and the others.

[Without his powers, Naraku's threat level goes down considerably, but so do her own. She wonders if she could convince the Animus to help them. She almost laughs at the song one, though, and puts the thought away to consider later.
The smile that spreads across her face at that last piece of news is bright, and she leans over Sango's shoulder to get a look at her face.]
You haven't been alone, and you've even made new friends? Sango-chan, I'm so glad for you.

It's funny. The people here... some are very bad, but... others become precious to you when you least expect it. When things calm down a little bit, I'll have to introduce you... I'm sure you'd get along very well with Juliet and Usagi-san. Naruto-kun, too... he loves ramen even more than InuYasha... and Rin-san.
It's not quite the same as having you and InuYasha and Shippou-chan and even Houshi-sama here, though. They... I don't know. It's different. [She shakes her head a little to clear it.] Though honestly, I wish you didn't have to be here.

[She rests her head on Sango's shoulder for a moment, just long enough to let the other girl know that Kagome was there. She feels very touched by Sango's words, that even among friends, she finds their group special.]
...Mm, I understand. But I'm here now, so we'll have to make the best of it. Besides, I would never leave a friend alone like this by choice.

[Oh, Kagome. ;; Sango briefly rests her cheek on top of her friend's head. She feels incredibly selfish for it, but she's glad Kagome's here. And on other levels, she hates that Kagome's here. It's a strange feeling to not be entirely happy to see your best friend after two full months of separation, but...]
I know, I know. But I wish you didn't have to be. And I wish Naraku wasn't here, either--one world corrupted by his presence is bad enough. [She does not, however, say that she wishes she wasn't here.]
[Does she wish that neither of them were here? On some level, yes. And she knows that given the chance to go back, she would take it without a thought. It's her duty, after all. She has a mission, back home.]
[But at the same time... there are people here who are precious to her. People she'd do anything for, who rival Kagome and InuYasha and Houshi-sama and Shippou in importance, people she never wants to leave.]
[Everything is all so bittersweet.]

[Her smile shifts a bit, from bright to somewhat more wavering. She can feel that this time has given her friend both new hope and new distress, and she isn't sure how to fix it.]
[Kagome would be sad to know that Sango didn't want to go home, but she'd understand. Her friend's happiness is a much higher priority than something like duty.]
I don't want him to be here, either. The people here seem very kind... [The perfect type of people for Naraku's cruel schemes.] But either way, I guess he's not going away until we get rid of him ourselves.
