Well, fuck. Ticketfly has it in for me.
I've been trying ever since yesterday to purchase a ticket to see
Bright Light Bright Light this Fall. Ticketfly simply responds "error processing order" each and every time I hit the "purchase" button, however. It's particular aggravating this time out, for I'm a big fan of Bright Light Bright Light.
I've followed Rod Thomas since his very first album as Bright Light Bright Light (a name inspired by a line from Gremlins). That was back in 2012, and I've picked up vinyl versions for each of his albums. Mr. Thomas is an independent artist working without the support of a major label, which happens to have its ups and downs when it comes to mass success. Even so, Thomas has slowly carved himself quite the career.
I've never seen him perform live, and I was hoping to get that chance during his rare appearance in Portland. Alas, Ticketfly has other ideas about that. I contacted the company's customer support, which (naturally) put the blame on my credit card company. A workaround was suggested which involved updating a database at my credit card company, but when I called them they apparently got a kick out of the absurdity of the suggestion. So, no tickets to see Bright Light Bright Light (or any future concert carried by Ticketfly). Dammit!
Now for Another Hot Guy.
