It's been a while, hasn't it?
We're finally back in Pastoria; we had some Pokegear difficulties in a few areas of Unova, but it was overall a really pleasant vacation. The kids were thrilled to be in a new area, though Trubbish was a little taken aback when we came across a swarm of his own kind in the wild. They seemed happy (and odorless) enough, but he's still so young. It was a little difficult for him to process, I think. He'd never seen another Pokemon like himself before, after all.
I got to visit a Pokemon Daycare in Unova as well, though they seem to operate on a skill level system. You need multiple badges to breed your Pokemon with them, which was... interesting. It seems to work well for them, but I can't imagine how difficult it is for trainers who don't begin their journey in Unova to make the switch. They must be really special to be able to make such demands on their patrons.
The boat ride back was as expected, really. Nino was feeling marginally better now that we've figured out he can rest on Milotic's back when Milotic is levitating to reduce the rocking feeling. I don't know what we'd do without the Pokemon sometimes.
And now, time to unpack. If you've requested souvenirs from either Nino or myself, please make plans to pick it up soon.
